Xiaolian, while she is not conventionally pretty like Airong, she does appear to be cute whenever she feels like it.
The spider lilies in her hair are also a homage to the House of Fire Lilies she used to be part of before joining Wu.

Most of the time whenever I draw Xiaolian, I portray her as a child because of her childlike gremlin behavior. I really need to start drawing her as her actual age xD
