Not claiming that I'm remotely an "artist", at best an artisan, but one of the biggest influences on my craft would be Masakazu Katsura.
From the first issue of DNA², I knew I would be constantly "copying this master" for years to come.

His knowledge of anatomy, perspective, level of detail, nuances in each stroke, absolutely blew my mind.

Apparently, even the cost of raw materials (ink, paper, mesh paper, paint, etc) used in his pages were way more than his contemporaries, to support the hyper advanced shading.
