Description
FORCE FIVE:
Force Five is a government based team operating out of the United States. Their mission is to police the activities of superhumans in the United States and foreign interests. They were formed under the field direction of Lt. Commander Mark Sykes (aka Motion Master). Sykes answered to the Director of the Federal Bureau of Superhuman Activities, General Salvatore Navarro. The team was handpicked by the duo from the current reserves of the armed forces. Superpowers were a plus, but not necessary.
Motion Master: Lt. Commander Mark Sykes
POWERS: Time manipulation and speed manipulation. Precognition. Knetic energy absorbtion and manipulatuion.
Mark was assigned to the force after gaining a purple heart in the Iraq War. The army was aware of his powers and offered him a position upon his recovery. When he took the role of commander, he immediately went to work looking for possible candidates. Several prospects were on the radar because of their voluntary admission to having superpowers. Three who ended up being chosen for the program were the Linyear brothers: Ray (Faultline I ), Keith (Streamline I ), and Caleb (Pipeline I ). Ray had the ability to cause non-organic items to vibrate. Keith had the power of unsupported flight. Caleb had the power of teleportation. The fifth member of the group would be a North Korean spy by the name of Mi Sang_Chol who had the ability to emit power blasts of radiation. Each member was outfitted and enhanced by C.O.R.U.S. armor. Specifications to each members’ powers were added to enhance them in battle.
The team operated for two years until they were sent on a mission in the Eastern block of Europe. There they encountered heavy resistance, not only of the military variety but also of the superhuman kind. The Soviet Host Protectorate moved against F5. In the fight, Keith and Ray Lineyear were both killed. Mi Sang-Chol was captured.
Battered and bruised they returned home. With little or no prep time at all, Mark and his group were introduced to replacements. Major Axel Payne was suited up as the next Faultline. Sgt. Ashraf al-Faris was a new hero, Sandstorm. Finally, the wife of Keith Lineyear took his place in the Streamline armor and codenamed her Slipstream. While Sandstorm came with his powers, Slipstream and Tremor were fully dependent on their suits’ capabilities to provide them powers.
The team got off to a rocky start when Caleb quit the team (Eventually talked back into action by his former sister in law). Tremor and Motion Master butted heads for field command. It also seems that no one fully trusted al-Faris.
EPILOUGE: Sang-Chol was transported to a secret Russian base where he was the subject of several experiments. These transformed him from a mutant with radioactive powers to a human atomic bomb. His form was housed in a set of giant armor and he was renamed Holocaust. After being brainwashed, he now works for the Soviet Protectorate.
