Description

Since I'm having a rough time with other pieces due to anatomical issues I decided to make myself more productive & create some more Patrick Nagel stylized portraits This one is of a special man whom, as much as I loved, didn't workout due to his own personal problems (bad 8-year relationship that ended, & his using his age as an excuse), but I'm glad I still met him. The chemistry was indescribable, & still is until I find myself someone who will be mine

Anyways, I had some trouble with this one because Julio here is rather dark skinned (he's Syrian, Lebanese, Colombian, & Spanish), & if anyone knows Patrick Nagel's work, every one of his models has chalk white skin. So upon doing a bit of a research I came upon a very helpful work of art that Nagel did; Cissy Houston's "Think it Over" album cover. Cissy was darker skinned in that artwork, but still white enough to have that Nagel style, & still with her brown tone of skin to not feel racially inaccurate
