So, after agonising over gijinkifying Xerneas, I watched Brave and sketched out Elinor, after which I realised that I associate deer with Celtic regions. Therefore, it made sense to give it a Celtic air. Couldn't decide between making it male or female, so I did both and just coloured the woman. The drawings next to the man were supposed to be antler-pattern ideas for his cloak, instead of giving him dreadlocks too.For Yveltal, Bulbapedia said its name could be derived from a 'quetzal', which made me think of Quetzalcoatl and by extension Mesoamerican culture. So even though Yveltal looks nothing like an Aztec, that's the idea. *shrug*
And then there's Little Chespin Riding Hood.

I like the designs, but just one set of criticism. Female Xerneas' neck looks very awkward. It seems as though she is moving her head to her left but then her body turn to her right along with her eyes. I tried mimicking the position, it felt regal yet uncomfortable. This is probably just one of those, it seemed natural at the time.
I don't see anything wrong with the others, and the emotions are perfect! Yveltal seems like an impish boy, ready to start any kind of adventure, while the Xerneases seem regal and don't have time to do childish acts, almost snotty. Chespin is a naive girl without a care in the world, and easily distracted. I actually thought I saw a butterfly on the page because she was looking at something...that is how good you are with emotions.

a Quetzal is a type of bird that has been alive since the time of the mayans. Quetzalcoatl is from a similar, if not the same culture and background. they are both very colourful and beautiful. and i do like your drawing of yveltal.

Yes, I had to stop at the very top because I was all panicky in my brain thinking:
NO THAT'S THE QUEEN. THAT'S MERIDA'S MOTHER...and I saw that you had an explanation. So I calmed myself down. = 3=
Then I kinda just looked at everything..and really am putting my best foot forward to drawing my human type characters.

Ahh, that's awesome~ And definitely agree with everyone else, they're all just magnificent :'D (Well, as usual of course. 
I really love how you tie in all of the different cultures and leave the influence from the Pokemon ref present but not overly obvious, that's really rare to find in gijinka!
