Although Ira's hair and those roses almost made me cry TwT
I don't usually use these colors in my drawings as you all know since I prefer pastel colors.
However this was a good opportunity to try my hand again at saturated colors and darker skin tones.
I hope I pulled it off! Doesn't this give you a disney beauty and the beast vibe?

Currently need to save up for my chiropractic treatment (as you all know from my previous journal, I have scoliosis and the pain has been really bothersome) and also earn extra to help my family buy medications and treatment for their own health issues.

With her being surrounded by roses, is that a subtle way of saying she's a rose with thorns?...
OK in all seriousness, this is a really pretty picture that could very well be used for a Disney movie, and in terms of hoe the design is, and looking back for a solid comparison, yeah I do kinda get beauty and the Beast vibes from her, with the combination of her design+ expression, and the colors, well, yeah. Also if my last statement is anything to go by, you did very well with the darker colors. Much like Disney/ BATB the colors help the character pop, and combined with the shading, especially with the hair my god those are some lovely locks, well... you get the point. Speaking of details(shading is a kind of detailing), let's talk more details, the shirt for example, those stretch marks, and the ruffles in the fabric, they're very nice, very subtle addition(as you reeeeeally have to look in order to see them). Also the eyes, the iris, very pretty(shiny and beaming, and with how the eyes themselves are it's a very joyful look and I like it very much). What else? The portrait choice, the roses, very well done(with each petal being drawn in, very nice), the vines, flowing pretty well(the thorns are well placed and I like the bud to the top left, it's a neat little feature), the leaves are also really well done(with the shading and stems the leaves have some texture, which is neat).
And what else can I say? This is a very pretty portrait with a pretty woman and gorgeous details. Great work good madame(and good on you for trying something new, I think you succeeded, if my littl-BIG essay is anything to go by), keep on keeping on when you have the time

Yeah it does have a disney beauty and the beast film, maybe due to the colors and the roses. Ira however may not be exactly a character that you would expect in a disney film

lololol The whole illustration was a challenge considering her big hair and all the other details, not to mention the color palette is different from the usual one i use. So I'm glad this turned out well ^^
