This is an illustration and exert from my new book Mouse the Witching Cat. Funnily enough, when I ran this book by my first editor they had trouble telling Fluffy was A) a rabbit, and B) a mutant.
The illustration was well and done by that point so the solution was to point out both his mutated wing-ears and him being a rabbit more throughout the book.

Huh, I had no trouble telling Fluffy here was a mutated lab-rabbit. But I like the idea of Fluffy's ears being bat-wings; definitely gives him the Halloween feel.
