Thanks also for the concern. I had to go through almost a year of rehabilitation, but
I'm fine now and everything looks pretty good in my brain.
It would have been fair If I could get any super powers from that, but unfortunately we live in the
real world...

Some texture  will definitely make his skin more real, but I
am not really aiming for a super realistic look to my paintings.
I like to keep it more simple, but that is just me

Oh, you hit me at my weak point XD I'm actually pursuing very different style from what you see at my studies. I'll show you the style that stops my breath, I hope you're signed to pixiv.net, cause if you're not, then you absolutely should XD These people posses a wicked sense for color, light and stylization

np. It's for japanese,chinese,korean,etc. artists. There is a lot of shitty stuff there too, but if you learn how to browse it, you can find incredible people you'd never see at other forums. Somehow in terms of originality and imagination, not so many western artists can beat them. I'm getting bored seeing the same theme repainted countless times, even when the technique is good. 
Be happy you don't have to register at japanese, as I did couple of years ago XD It was a real pain hahah
