During my adventures in making OOAK repaints for the Warriors cat book series by Erin Hunter, I had a father write to me and ask for a custom-painted rubber cat of Leafpaw, Rusty (A.K.A) Firestar's daughter. What is awesome abut this memory is he bought my Rusty repaint, so she wanted his daughter to be at his side. How sweet is that! I believe he bought Blue Star too.I wasn't that far into the series yet so I asked him to describe her. He had his daughter write to on that note and she gave a detailed description to work from. I remember her letter vividly. When I asked how she wanted the base to look she said for it have berries and what medicine cats use. That was a no-brainer: Lots of flowers and anything that looked herbal.
There is real moss and dried white flowers covering what I remember was probably the bottom of a Barbie stand. As for the rest, it is plastic floral, but in any case, it all came from Michaels. LOL
I am immensely proud of this repaint and the opportunity to take such an important crafting request.
