I woke up at 7 to take this photo, I was in a field near Fossano. I wanted to shoot this for my english friend Aidan because he loves alps

Is this photo manipulated or are those mountains really there? It looks almost surreal. Of course, I have never seen mountains in person at all during my life.

Anyway mountains were really there (I'm not so good at photoshop to manipulate them like that xD), during winter and near dawn they colored themself with that wonderful pink! They are alps and that peak is Monviso see from Fossano

It must be very beautiful to see in person. I live in a big polluted city in the US and don't even have the luxury of seeing the stars at night. In the area where I live, there are no mountains and it never snows.

It's a pity, I really like snow and mountains! Actually even in our mountains skies are very polluted.. but there are some days when you can see the milky way better

wow, this is truly great! I love how the red mountains pierce through the layer of fog in the distance. the composition works great, too!

The colours are just gorgeous, roasted orange all along the ground, then lush green and finally this blue and white, filled with distance. Beautiful and worth waking up early!
