Canon Digital Rebel XSi18-55mm kit lens (reverse macro)
I realized I hadn't done reverse macro in a while, so I decided to venture around the yard to see what I could find. After a couple trips around the garden, I hadn't found anything, and headed to the deck to head back inside. And then there was the fly. I tried to catch him, but as you can see... I may have been a little rough. Took a few shots of him on a leaf before going inside. Don't worry, I fed him to a spider when I was done

I hear that Karma's a bitch. Insects flourish in my yard because I'm nice to them, thus I have a lot of subjects. What did you say about your yard, no insects around, eh?
Plus, it's Green Bottle Fly mating season. Hmmm, I hope no one tries to smash and mangle you when it's your time to mate.

Regardless of my opinions of Karma, your comment totally cracks me up; the mental image is priceless. My wife killed 10 flies in our house the other day, and we still have lots of flies--but then half the global population of insects live in our area.
Anyway, this is really gross! I love how the left "eye" is sort of dented, and the right one is split and oozing, truly appalling!

Well, in your wife's case, Karma will be a good thing, because she got rid of flies you didn't want. In Evan's case, it's not good because he doesn't necessarily want to get rid of insects as they make interesting subjects for his photos.
I just don't believe in taking lives or in causing suffering. Call an ambulance and have me committed!!!
