Wow, this is pretty cool for being a rather simple illustration. It's simple, yet very unique. Not to mention that it definately says a lot. I love it, and I will favorite this.

I can relate to this on a very personal level. There is nothing like getting backstabbed by your best friend. The person who's been there for you since you were 12. It's worse than breaking up with your boyfriend/girlfriend

I love the slim body, and the "coffee spills". I don't know if the last one was intended or not, but it fit perfectly... I love it. There could in fact have been some colour, but most people would probably disagree...

Heh, I'm not entirely sure why I like this so much, but I do. Excellent work on the form and shading. The lack of features seems to give it an odd abundance of character while at the same time forcing one to focus on the form.

it could resemble shame, pain, anxiety, weakness..any of those things...

the somberness of it.. how the swords weigh down and kill him - very fitting for my mood at current
again, i love your ability to draw, the content matter tends to be sadenning but today i take it with no more tears or sadness than already (found out my aunt / godmother / favorite relative's brain tumor is growing so much she's rapidly loosing muscle control and i'm extremely sad and upset, especially since i told her i would paint spring for her and i haven't and i'm afraid she'll die before i can - so i'm skipping school tomorrow for that sole purpose so i can bring it to her on saturday)

It definitely differs from your previous drawing style in some details but it has the same powerful radiation. The bearing of this faceless guy tells about his condition and his mental state.. you can see how he feels even without mimic art. I m sure there are different possible interpretations and I dont know the story behind it but somehow (it has been mentioned before) it really looks like someone he trusted has stabbed him.
Excellent sketch.. also great work with the background!

hmmm... interesting. While it's obvious this one spent a LOT more time in post production than your privious ones, it's lacking something compared to them. I really loved your others for their raw, primal, uncensored energy. You loose that in Post, since you get the chance to clean up so many "mistakes" that actually add to a piece.
Personally I would retry this using a different idea. Maybe have the person falling on a single sword. That might be a bit more poignent.
Or since it's Valentine's (and I hate this day) tomorrow, make them arrows. Oh, who was that saint that was shot with arrows? I can't remember the name now, I'll note you if I remember. Something along those lines.
I do like the posture of the character, though. Defeated, dragging on. Very good.
