Yeap, the purple guy is inside Springtrap. The reason we know this because at the third game, and after beating night five, you played as one of the dead child(very similar to the dead crying child in the give cake minigame in the 2nd game), and then you go up to the room where everybody was killed, and you go to the room only you can enter(while the other animatronics can't), the purple man is in fear and trying to stay away from you. He keeps avoiding you until he wore Springtrap. He thought he was safe from you in the beginning, but no, he is unfortunately murdered inside the suit. So this is why SpringTrap is so twitchy.Wow that is a long story...
