Description
The Temple of Heaven in Beijing is enclosed with a long wall.The northern part within the wall is semicircular symbolizing the heavens and the southern part is square symbolizing the earth. Chinese thought of "The heaven is round and the earth is square",....
the emperors would offer sacrifice to Heaven on the day of the Winter Solstice every year.
This ceremony was to thank Heaven and hope everything would be good in the future.
The Temple was built in 1420 A.D. during the Ming Dynasty

This red of the wall is just amazing. I just think there's to much below the wall, maybe you should have cropped it so the wall is a bit more placed in the center.

The colors make this shot supremely surreal. It's pure eye candy. Following the sweeping curve of the red wall to the amazing sky and jagged trees just screams excellent composition. If I wanted to get all trite I might say it could mean something like following ancient architecture into the past, using it as a guide to see things as they once were. Either way, phenomonal picture as always foureyes my dear friend. Your photography never ceases to amaze me.
