Composite/panorama from 5 images, shot with a Sigma DP0.Cobbled this together during my hiatus. Not quite happy with the image quality, at some point I'll go back and do this over from the raw files. Used to be part of my workflow that I'd reduce the sharpening done in Sigma's software, but lately this has made all my images look way softer than I remember them coming out. Whatever the case, those that have followed me for a while know I've got an interest in lofi digital photography, and there's something about this image that makes it feel like I took it in 2003.

It's mostly down to the look you get when you save a sharpened image to JPEG at around 90% quality and below.
Image sensors used to really suck, so the camera would have to do a lot of pre-processing to enhance the image before saving your JPEG. Couple that with a relatively low resolution, and you get this really distinct look (see: P1060885 ).

The grainy sky is down to me cropping the original, and saving it at a lower quality. Cropping low quality JPEGs really messes them up.
