This is pretty much a different drawing from how I started off with the sketch.
Sometimes it just happens that way. I changed my mind.
I decided to go more abstract. Just imagine who/what you want Sesshoumaru-sama to kill on the left.
It was all about a moment, him glancing whatever he tore into, and settings I could come up with seemed distracting or overkill.

Did I mention I love doing action poses?
It can be pain to do but I find it quite satisfying with Sesshoumaru.
No one fights as gracefully as he does IMHO... and he's got the outfit for it!
His basic claw attack is still my fave.
I don't see enough of gracefully ferocious Sesshoumaru-sama around ....

I created "blood" effect with sumi-ink and a toothbrush then pasted over the drawing. I'm a low-tech person at heart.
I made a big mess before finding satisfying splash.
Luv the photoshop for this purpose! I don't have to risk the drawing. I could remove it completely if I choose to.

EDIT: (1/10) changed to larger image size and added bamboo bush on the right. (painted by me!)

Sesshoumaru is Rumiko Takahashi's character.

thanks. I'm not an anime version fan so I don't use whip for him (since that's anime only attack) But no matter what he does, Sesshoumaru=STYLE is my mantra.

so metalic and powerfull ... yet with the blood drops i almost feel the warmth of the cut and smell the near death of the enemy ...

love the concept ... simple and so meaningful!

after all we love the Sesshoumaru concept and must admit that sometimes i feel so little compared to him (even it's nothing more than a character). Maybe it's better that in the show he appears only in the key moments ... it just give us opportunity to complete him with our personal meanings and talents ... after all ... aren't we, all, combined, this Sesshoumaru?

it's an open project and we like to work on it

i do think that the fact he seldom appears and so much about his character is unrevealed is part of his appeal. It really stirs imatination, don't you think? I love to think that he is beyond humanly standard of good and evil, and i love the fact he is so lethal but has the sword that can save lives.
He is just a cool character all around, and hard to go wrong when you put him in a picture
It's that brooding, dispassionate but keenly aware look...gets me every time

That would be great.... I will rub his ears while you distract him... that's all I need from him... those ears just beg to be rubbed.... I wonder what scent he would have.. I think Inuyasha would have a forest/rainstorm/earthy loam scent... But I'm trying to figure out Sesshoumaru's.. and Kouga... ICK!! I won't even go there..

i may not last long enough for you to reach his ears tho....

hmmm his scent...i think it would be something really subtle and clean....like snow? (if it has scent! ) but i know he would smell good!
