While I miss her in the manga, and seeing her on-screen, she'll never be far from my heart. With so much Kagura related items, I will never have to miss her. She's always with me, plus I can read her chapters and watch her episodes anytime I want. But yes, she made the story more interesting. Most people don't realize that Kagura is such a deep character. Her desire to be free is something people can relate to. I love her for many things, but it's her personality I love most. But I must say, she's very beautiful. So Kagura has the best of both worlds <3

Love the way you drew her. She seems to have a vunerability in this sketch. As if she's worried about what Naraku might do, or debating whether she might need help along the way. Any means, to get her one true goal: freedom.

Lovely; yeah well some people actually thinks that... well more like some Kagura fans actually hoped that she'd be revived also... well i think I am one of those fan... shes like my favorite character in IY

I like Kagura too, but i'm not so crazy about "reviving " idea, just because it's already been used a few times in the story. Overuse of it would make the character death sort of unimportant, and the story would lose impact. Anyway, thank you very much!

your welcome; yeah if Kagura had been revived then i guess that would be nice... mostly because shes my fave character... but what u said about the death being all unimportant kinda does make sense.

My christmas break was fabulous! I got to spend a lot of time with my hubby, which is always a treat.

You've captured Kagura wonderfully here. I noticed she looks a lot more vulnerable than usual, and you've certainly caught that aspect of her. She was such a good character, on the wrong side, but never by choice. I would like to think that if she had ever gained her freedom from Naraku and had remained in her humanoid form, she might have actually been able to be good. I don't think she would have gotten involved, per se, but she wouldn't have had to do any more awful things! Nice job as always.

I liked Kagura too. she had that hard not to like frankness and her situation made her an interesting character.
i think RT can use more interesting villain in her story IMHO...Naraku is too hidden at this point and byakuha hasn't been developed all that much.

I felt sorry for Kagura. She always hated what ever Naraku was up to and made her do, yet couldn't do anything about it, so she was interesting. That, and how can you not like her straight forwardness?

Thanks. I read a Sess/Kagura lemon earlier before doing this sketch. It was poorly written, but it was sort of an interesting set up that they had one night stand (it was more like Kagura asked him to before she gets killed by Naraku and Sesshoumaru went along with it)
It gave an interesting possibility behind the "Wind" chapter, I thought.

yeah. i have on my list to do a sess/kagu. not sure it would be a lemon. dunno. but i liked them as a couple... not a 'soul mates' couple, but a two-lost-souls-who-find-each-other-briefly couple...

so sad.

I don't think it needs to be lemon either. I'm intrigued enough by Kagura's mix of longing for Sess and calculation for survival...and how Sess sees both ends of it.

yeah. i've already decided that i can't do 'wonton' lemons for Sesshy. he's just too....uh.... difficult? deep? shallow? im not sure. And whoever he does it with has to have some relationship and/or character development in front of it ... i don't see him being that involved w/ Kagura... on the other hand, the one sess/kagu drabble i wrote could've gotten there i suppose. so 'never say never'... but lemon certainly wouldn't be where i'd start with them.

and i don't know if kagu 'longs' for sess so much as she needs/wants a savior. i think that's why a lemon would be tough. i don't think she's 'free' enough to be a terribly sexual creature. i can see both of them needing sex but angsting over it so much that it's a 'complicated' encounter... and that could be interesting/lemony perhaps. and you're right, both woudl be so intent on survival that it might get in the way of the sex...OR...make it really hot. hm. as i write this i realize i probably could write the lemon if that's where the characters wanted to take it. hope i get around to it someday to see what happens!

I think it is so so easy to go out of character with Sess...so yeah, I can see how you wouldn't want to do wonton lemons with him. (and there is nothing I fear in my fandom more than an out of character depiciton of Sesshoumaru-sama... Though I don't even know if my depiciton of him is in character any longer, since I've made up so many elements of my own ... )
Personally I think He and Kagura aren't all that compatible, personality wise...so I don't see any real relationship developing between these two.

I was thinking Kagura idealized Sesshoumaru in a way, because he was free and independent in the way she would want to be. Ok, I looked up the word longing in the dictionary and I guess it wasn't quite the word I would have used. Now I don't know what other word to use
Anyway, I agree that she wasn't free enough to really be sexual...I think survival came first, and she knew it too. She idealized him, but at the same time she already knew it wasn't meant to be. She was honest with herself and also was not dillusional...that's why I liked her.
I'm really not into happy ending...

it's definitley easy to go OOC with him because RT has developed his character so narrowly. i bet he even mystifies her! and i know what you mean aobut feeling like you're characteriziation of him is OOC cuz you've had to develop all these things in your mind you think he must be feeling... just to begin to depict him.

i agree wtih the idea that she idolizes him for his freedom. in that way, she admires inu too (but differently, she sees him as a brat but is more intrigued with sesshy's silent treatment). in thinking about them, i really think i captured the essence of my belief about their relationship in these two drabbles (sorry if i've already pimped... but it seems appropriate).

Yes...it's all RT's fault. Although, my sole purpose of starting to draw Sesshoumaru is to build him the way I want him to be (with what I liked about him from the original story as a base)...So if he deviates (spell?) that's because I've made a choice to differ according to my taste. Of course I'm visually speaking, but a narrative can be dictated by the feel of an image, at least to me anyway

Yes. I guess it all comes down to personal taste, really.... I tend to shape my idea by a process of elimination....understanding what I feel "not right" for him. (which can be a process like peeling onion skins )

I guess my bottom line is I won't ever go with Sesshoumaru being a softie, or unintelligent loli...no matter how cute or funny it may be. and also him being not human is very important to me.
In general, I'd like to aim for Sesshoumaru being elegant and savage at the same time
