Description           The sun pierces through the open horizontal blinds, beaming right into the stunning young teen’s eyes awakening her from her slumber, Kaylee shields her pretty brown eyes from the sun and reaches over her king size bed and flicks a large switch which looks much like a massive light switch for giants, hard to miss but elegantly crafted to compliment the flow of the room. Suddenly the blinds come back to life, silently rotating extinguishing all light from the room, Kaylee smiles brushing her long blonde hair off her face.

“I don’t think so Kay, time to wake up!” buzzes the intercom from beside her door, Kaylee frustratingly throws off her fluffy pink comforter and pulls herself out of bed and over to the intercom, exhaustingly reaching out and pushing on the transceiver.

“Daddy it’s the weekend, and I wanna sleep in!” Her tone wouldn’t give away the fact that she was pouting at that moment.

“Kaylee, you know we have a big breakfast with the Hammonds today, and I need my little angel there!” Kaylee smiles at the comment, she liked it when her dad called her his little angel. Then she realised he was trying to play her. Fire with fire she thought and released her own little winning gem.

“Aww, five more minutes daddy please” Kaylee pleads dropping her head against the wall near the intercom, the blinds rotate open again, operated remotely.

          “No, now!”

Kaylee sighs turning around and flopping against the wall squinting from the bright sunlight that now floods back into the room revealing her slim figure, she was wearing a tight pink collarless shirt that accentuated her chest and a matching pair of tight hipster underwear, her long wavy blonde hair looked like it had been styled even though she had just woken up.

“That poor girl!” Kaylee’s mother Lauren remarks as she pours herself another coffee, it was easy to see where Kaylee got her stunning looks from her mother was almost angelic. Thick blonde hair done up in a pony tail, she is elegantly dressed and ready for a long lunch with the ‘Hammonds’. Kaylee’s father also a picture of perfection, ruggedly handsome, short dark hair, always dressed smart, and was always an object of attention from many of Kaylee’s friends.

“What? You know as well as I, that as soon as her head hits the pillow another five minutes lasts until daddy hits the buzzer again” he retorts as he holds his cup out with a cheeky grin and Lauren tops it up.

“Well David, forcing open the blinds would constitute a form of torture!” Lauren adds.

“Huh if sunlight is torture then she tortures herself around the pool when all of those sleazy male friends are around” David adds gesturing towards the massive pool that can be seen from the kitchen window it has a large rock face on one side that sports a constant running natural looking waterfall.

“They’re not sleazy male friends, Justin and Doyle are Kristen and Grace’s boyfriends and Derrick is Kaylee’s”

“How the hell do you remember all those names?”

“Perhaps it would be an idea to take interest in your daughter’s life Mr Silverman” Lauren walks towards David wrapping her arms around him; she was nearly a foot smaller than him. She rests her chin on his chest looking up at him.

“Your right… you’re always right” he kisses her the puts down his coffee cup lifting her onto the bench and kisses her again passionately.

“Eww, keep it PG parents, child is still in the house!” Kaylee adds walking through with the same top on but now sporting a comfy pair of pink tracksuit pants.

“Ahh that’s what you’re wearing to the Hammonds then?” David remarks helping Lauren down.

“Am I allowed to have breakfast first or should I change directly into my feldbluse mien Führer” Kaylee mocks grabbing cereal from the pantry, David grabs the cereal off her and puts it back in the cupboard, Kaylee stands their half shocked with her mouth ajar.

“Catching flies dear” David asks as he reaches out and taps he chin up to close her mouth. Kaylee gets ready for an argument when David cuts her off again “Kaylee we are going to the Hammonds FOR breakfast, you’re not filling up on cereal when poor Mrs Hammond has gone to the trouble of cooking you a big breakfast”

“Don’t you mean Mrs Hammonds maid, because I don’t have a problem offending Mrs Hammonds maid. I mean I’m sure they don’t when they ask her to serve food and remain unseen by her guests, Justin told us what she’s like Dad, Just because she donates to some charities doesn’t make her a saint!”

“Kaylee I don’t need an empathy lesson about the Hammonds help from you, now go back up stairs and change into something appropriate!”

“Ugh you’re impossible sometimes” Kaylee stomps her foot in frustration and heads back upstairs. After Kaylee’s deliberate loud footsteps fade into her room David looks over towards Lauren, who sighs and slouches against the counter, she had the all too familiar this-act-is-getting-tired look on her face.

“What? Did you hear what she called me, if I’m going to be the Führer, I may as well act like it” David defends himself, Lauren cracks and smiles.

“But you gotta be impressed with her knowledge I mean feldbluse? Who uses that in a sentence?”

          “Our daughter!” David smiles.
