something originally drawn in may 2017 of how i depict yoshikage kira and kosaku kawajiri differently, but didnt color it until now.
blond kira’s profile is shamelessly inspired heavily by david bowie, especially the jawline, nose, and lips, while the eyes are cat-like. his frame is a bit thinner than kosaku’s– thinner brows, thinner nose bridge, thin lips. the most inspiration is drawn not only from serious moonlight tour bowie (who kira is more based off of anyway), but also a touch of the thin white duke persona.
kosaku is overall a much darker and thicker man. his profile is more based off of my friend’s, who has become a bit of a muse for me when drawing any version of kira (of course i was given their permission to base kosaku off of him). thicker brows, higher cheekbones, upturned nose, dark circles, and his droopier eye shape are my key points.
