After I submitted "Small McCartney", I got several requests to continue the series with the rest of the Beatles. So here we've got Ringo! It was a bit tricky to make him recognizable without his iconic nose.
Shall we continue the question of the last picture? What song do you think he's jamming out to?

Yeah, Ringo's drumming is super-underrated, but he's good! Listen to "Rain" for proof of that. And I didn't know he was Moonie's favorite... but Moonie was his favorite, so that makes sense.

So there your sort of "trade mark" ?? hehe well I know ringos drumming is great !! and yes moony and him were best friends !! It's funny how life works out !! moony taught ringos son to play drums (sort of) and now Zak plays for the who !!!

What I think is great is that Ringo was so adamant that his son was never going to be a drummer.... and then Keith got Zak a drum kit for his birthday, and the rest is history!

I'm not sure what time that was, possibly during White Album? Anyway, John had listened some records and played it to Ringo and said: "Play it like this", and according to Ringo John nor the others couldn't hear there's two sets of drummers playing. And when he pointed out that to John he was just like "Just do it" xD Talking about impossible stuff asked xD

That's why I think Ringos drumming goes undeapreciated, because he's really great at adapting into his bandmates wishes. He had three people to tell him how to play and yet he managed to please everybody! Magic touch baby.

Not only that, he's quite simply a damn good drummer. Listen to "Rain", or to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", or to "Let it Be", or most Beatles or Plastic Ono Band (not all, though, because sometimes it's someone else drumming) songs, and really listen to the drums, and they're always really beautiful and accent the song in the best possible way.

Someone said to me that Ringo really plays always in a way that it is possible to regognize a song just from a drumtrack. I'm unfortunately so amusical, that I cannot really say anything, but the thing I really like about his drumming is how humbly he wants to play every song the best he could, doing his groovy thing without drawing all the attention to himself. Seriousy, I cannot stand drummers (or other musicians too) that are all the time too flashy and breaking the group dynamics.

It's true- you can recognize any song Ringo drums on just from the drum track. I'm especially fond of the drums on Let It Be. ^^
And that's one of the great things about the Beatles- there was no leader, they all presented themselves as equals.

I rather think that any good band should be a set of equals to be really. that's why I think it's hard for many mucians after band's break up, as if they were any famous it's hard to find new group where you could settle in without taking too much space.
