Of course it does, a gun is useless without ammo. You'll have to buy more ammo yourself if you run out, though.

I believe so, I know of an adventurer who uses a gunblade, he used to be a neo-nazi, but got rid of the swastikas after a couple of other adventurers earned his respect.
(the guy is the final boss of Epic Battle Fantasy 2, and a party member in the third game.)

(Really? I never found it to be that hard. I mean, sure, I died the first few times i tried it, but once I got all the scans for it and started trying to destroy it instead of not destroying it, I did fine. Of course, I haven't fought it on Hard or Epic yet...)

(scanning enemies to find out their weaknesses and stuff helps. buffs and status effects also help.)

(buffs increase your stats. Temper increases attack, Protect increases defense, Barrier increases Magic Defense, there's also potions to increase Attack and Magic Attack. Some effects can reduce those stats as well. Natalie's limit break buffs all player stats and debuffs all enemy stats while healing the party. Status effects are poison (self-explanatory), blind (reduces accuracy), stun (prevents action for a turn), and seal (prevents use of special abilities, except Purify, which heals status effects). The help tooltips for abilities and weapons say what each of them does, some debuff enemies or inflict status effects. For example, Unleash with Heaven's Gate equipped blinds enemies.)
