This is actually a couple months old. Just got around to finishing the lineart and shading it...
You know, I have to admit, when Mei was first brought in I thought she would be one of those super bratty/extra perverted little girls that usually show up in shonen manga. Well, I guess I should have had more faith in Hiromu Arakawa-sama, because Mei Chang is amazing. She kicks so much butt, but she can also be such a crazy fangirl and so sweet. I liked her right away, and I still love her. She's just awesome. XD
And before anyone asks, I ship her and Al almost obsessively. :3 I must draw them sometime, they make such an adorable couple... XD
Anyway, she's a bit older here, and I made up her hair and clothes based on a mix of her old ones and then the ones she wears when she's older. And she drew that transmutation circle with her foot, like she did in the anime. Sorry, I fangirl-squealed when I saw her do that, I just thought it was too cool. I'm so obsessed with this show... XD

this is how i imagined her at 14/15
i see her as around 11-12 in the series since she looked about the same size that Ed and Al where when they started their training with teacher

W-ooooo-w! I acctually bit my lip when I looked at it! She looks like she's in ultimate kick-ass-mode! I love the white and black and how you shade! And her face looks amazing! So determind but cute! You drew her eyes so beautiful! Her clothes are wicked too! With all the stuff flying around, and her braids, it really looks like she just drew the circle, and just gotta pin me down with her gaze before she pwns me!
And I don't like AlMei at all, but I still don't hate you, your art or anything you stand for!! I feel like such a mature fangirl!

This pic is AMAZING... *iz jelus of ur awesum drawing skillz* I totally agree. Mei is a wonderful character and I WUV HER SO MUCH! *snugs Mei* I like to think of her as a Mary Sue who grows up and actually earns the guy she's in love with.

THANK YOU!!! 8D Well, I use the second smallest brush, but it might also be because I usually make the pictures so big. O_O At the smallest they're around 2000 by 1500 pixels, so that could be it. ^^
