this was one of my very first pencil portraits so i suppose it took a while, but as i made it three years ago i can't really say..

wow, very first, eh? I'm on my *counts* 6th portrait (colored pencil and pencil) and I'm not even close to getting that good yet.

the reason my earlier portraits aren't much worse than the newer is simply that i didn't stop working on them until i was satisfied, even if it would take several days.. later on the process just sped up

oh, that's great. question: do you ever feel like you forgot how to draw? because that's how I feel right now.

short answer: no.

though i often feel generally not good enough when i'm trying to draw different things, but i try not to let that get me down, and focus on trying to improve instead.

hmm...interesting. I did a bunch of sketching yesterday, and it was really productive. I did it in colored pencil (so that way I will try to get it perfect the first time and not waste time erasing and stuff). I sketched my teddy bear 4 different times I think. And I sketched the orange juice can, paper towel dispencer, plants...etc. It was really really awesome.
