FINALLY I FINISHED THIS.

I had no intention of this drawing reaching the epic proportions it has, but I was inspired by a lame yet simultaneously awesome picture of Gabriel in my World History textbook in which Gabe was wearing a cool red and green robe with kick-ass yellow cowboy/rain boots and had his epic trumpet. I wasn't able to pay attention for the rest of the class because I was thinking about how to redraw the picture RSJ style.

I used my new watercolor-pencils for this. I love them so much already. Also, in case you want to know, the birds that Gabriel's wings are modeled on are sparrow, nightingale, and brown falcon from top to bottom respectively. They're sort of symbolic. And sort of just pretty.

At any rate, I am actually very happy with how this turned out, even though it looks better in real life. I had to wrestle with PS to readjust the brightness and saturation, because the scanner completely murdered the colors. But alas.
