Description
Operation Overlord was the codename for the Battle of Normandy, the Allied operation that launched the successful invasion of German-occupied Western Europe during World War II. The operation was launched on 6 June 1944 with the Normandy landings. A 1,200-plane airborne assault preceded an amphibious assault involving more than 5,000 vessels. Nearly 160,000 troops crossed the English Channel on 6 June, and more than two million Allied troops were in France by the end of August.

Art trade for ! Initially I wanted to make this simple yet drawing this while listening to the Saving Private Ryan soundtrack just made me had to do this as a full art with backgrounds and such. The basic concept is just his crane/egret OC Kevin (I made him a white egret to fit the color palette of the ref, since there are no plain white cranes with yellow beaks around), firing his M1 Garand to its last round, hence the flying en-bloc clip that makes that sound that you'll instantly recognize. It's just the fact that he uses the M1 Garand in his ref that I seriously had to do him in a WW2 US Army outfit, and eventually having him storm the beaches of Normandy on June 6th.
