I drew my Shiny Vaporeon Ponta some time ago, but never got around to posting it. So here you go! My cute purple water pokemon, got him from bill in one of my times playing through Heart Gold He's on my Black version now. ^-^-----

This looks great ^^
I really like your use of color and its subtle shadowing/lighting.
It's a cute pose too, though it looks like he could be floating in air as well if it weren't for the background.
Try making the character blend in with its surroundings some more
Like, adding the familiar wave pattern on the highlighted parts in this case, it will look more realistic and give it a calm/serene mood.
It already looks very peaceful, but I think it would really fit him in this picture to use the water to your advantage
In any case, this is a beautiful drawing.

Heh, thanks. I'm still not used to drawing water, that's probably why it doesn't blend very well. I tried making it look like he was underwater but I guess it didn't work as well as I hoped it would.

But I haven't said anything about it not looking like it was underwater.
It's easy to see, it's just the pose in the water, anything that would be swimming upright in the water would have to constantly move for it not to sink. That's why it didn't work entirely since Ponta doesn't seem to be moving.
was I trying to make a point here? I have no idea, I forgot xD;;
