You might wonder why, despite reshading, and an ability to draw myself, I continue to occasionally delve into the realm of using bases. Here are some reasons.
a) looking at fab poses is often the trigger for the idea. Here the decision to do this character came from the pose in the first place.
b) it's part of a community and exciting to see where different people can take the same starting point.
c) sometimes I just want to draw pretty things without worrying about anatomy. A little lazy yes, but when it's 100% for fun? Who cares

It's interesting to see the different steps you took to create the finished doll. A full out tutorial would be awesome to see someday, although I know it would be a lot of work. Still, this gives a pretty decent look at the process.

TBH other than "lock the layer and start colouring" I can't really provide a tutorial that you can't already get by looking at a myriad of digital painting tutorials.

The doll is for Holli's Project educate and meant to demystify the use of bases, I usually don't justify my use of them but PE is designed to engage with non dollers not just dollers so I added it in there.
And yes, it's not really a tutorial just a view into how I use the base, for the aforementioned reason.
