This looks very good so far!
But as one said before I believe it would highly improved by adding some lights, especially spot lights since it's a band -- and if I see correctly there are spotlights in front of them, but it looks like they're turned off or something.
Hope you don't mind it.

Thank you very much Mia, for your constructive feedback. To be honest, I did have lights coming off those front lights and I also had coloured lights shinning from above, but for some reason they didn't show up, as I wanted them to. Maybe, they just weren't strong enough beams.
It is an area, which I am constantly trying to improve upon. Lighting has always been a bit of a hit and miss. Sometimes, it works perfectly. Other times, it can be disappointing. But, I will continue to try and improve, as I progress with my art!
I never redo an artwork. As, I think it is a waste of time. And, If I did change the original artwork. I wouldn't be able to see, where I went wrong previously, before correcting it. I do take on board any constructive critique and make a note of it. So, I can use this information, when creating newer artworks! So, I appreciate your honesty and I am not offended at all, by it!
Have a great Saturday and a lovely weekend!

Thank you again.
Yes, lighting is a difficult thing to achieve at times. Before they brought out the Filmic add-on for Blender. The actual reach of the camera was terrible, as it wasn't set well, for a camera. So, images used to look like they were in a cave! LOL. But, the Filmic add-on does inject a lot of light into the scene. Especially, if you are doing inside interiors. When I did use DAZ3D to render. I did find the lighting a bit hit or miss too. So, I can understand, where you are coming from. I think sometimes though, it can be affected, by whether you have walls around your scene, or your world settings a certain way. Because sometimes the world setting will light up a scene well. So, that you don't even need lights much. But, on other occasions, it can get in the way and alter your other lights.
I wish you every success with your studies of lighting with DAZ3D and Vue. Have a lovely Sunday!

Can I offer some friendly criticism, I know looking at your comments that this will be an Unpopular comment but I feel it need to be said. Not only to better yourself but also you're art.
Looking at this and your gallery, I feel that all Your models are lifeless. Expressions and some posing gives a key to not only their feelings but also their state of mind at that present time.
Insight to what I'm saying (in Poses): A slight rase of one shoulder to the back can show Insecurity. A slight raise of a side of a mouth can show Arrogance. Chest out and standing tall is a good way to show that this person is ready for Anything. Twist of a foot to the side can show a standance of Authority. A Bend of the head downward looking out shows that they're Ready to Rock.
Just some friendly advice. Take it for what you will. I personally would love if people did this for me, but seeing that you're a Core Member might get me Blacklisted now. lol

Thank you very much, for your positive criticism of my art Robert. I am always happy to listen to the opinions of others, when the advice is constructive and not said with malice. So, I am not at all offended by your comment. And, just because I am a core member. It doesn't make me any more an artist. I see Core membership just as a way to support Deviant Art. And, in return, you get more abilities to change your profile page, than a non member does. So, I doubt you would be blacklisted, just for being honest. Despite my other positive comments. Not everyone is going to like my work. So, I am totally fine with that!
I do try and pose my characters in my scenes. Which is why I rig the characters, when I make them. I do realise I need to improve more, on the body language of the characters and their expressions. I did feel that I captured the expression of wonder well, in my artwork entitled 'The wonders of magic'. But, I agree. I don't always get the right expression; that I was going for. So, there is always room for improvement, with my expressions and posing of the characters. I will have to do more research, in this area!
Thank you very much, for your constructive advice. I will certainly take it on board, when creating future artworks.
Wishing you a pleasant Friday and a great weekend!

Whether you have raw talent, or not. We all need to keep refining our art on the go; whatever the skill level
Because with artists, you never really stop trying to learn new things and growing and improving, in your talent. As you said. Art is down to interpretation. And, feedback can be taken onboard or dismissed.
You should be proud of your own art. Dismiss the trolls on the internet, who just want a reaction from you. And, listen to those, who have a valid point. Which in this case, you did! Trying to add emotion into my characters is something I wish to improve upon. I do try and pose my characters, as effectively, as I can. But, it does help, to complement those poses, with the expressions, as well.
So, once again. Thank you, for the excellent feedback.
Have a great Saturday!

Thank you very much, my talented friend. I am glad you liked the scene.
The world would be a much darker place, without music. So, I felt the need to dedicate this one, to the musicians, singers and songwriters, who brighten up our days, with their cool tracks.
Have a fun Friday!
