Dang... it must be a harsh/dark world indeed if Drakken looks like this (and is one of the good guys) and Rei is the way she is. Almost makes me afraid to ask about other characters in this world.

Yeah, that world is messed up beyond all reason. And Drakken is one of the lucky ones considering he has the know-how to be able to pull himself back together.
