The map of one of the regions in my D&D world.

The Shores of Ash as the name imply is a very volcanic area, filled with volcanoes and other hallmarks of volcanic activity but also of famously good soil and mineral wealth with easy access to the relatively calm waters of the Smoking Isles.

This has led to a thriving bronze age civilisation also being where metalworking first appeared in this part of the world, though it still is a very wild and dangerous place outside the walls of the numerous city states and not only because red dragons are drawn to their favorite environment, active volcanoes.
