Thom playing solo at the Mercury Prize 2006.I've been a massive Radiohead fan since I was in college, yet had only seen them play live for the first time at V2006, just a week before I took this.
Thom had just started his piece - so there was an impressive hush in the room. When he looked up and into the crowd, me and about five other photographers around me went wild, which he could hear clearly, the click-click-clicking easily carrying over the dark-dulcet intro chords.
He threw us a typically sardonic smile and then launched into Analyse. Great performance, check it out on YouTube

So impressed by this photograph, and don't know whether it has something to do with the fact that I am ever impressed by Radiohead. Needless to say, it surely looks like a fascinating moment to take into a frame.

I'll see them (with the whole band) June 14th at Nimes (france). I'm just envious you could take that kind of pictures. But it's normal, Radiohead is my favorite band since OK Computer. I'm fan of 2+2=5 and ANalyse too (so "lyrique" when you can say in french ).
And remember the smile he've had just after the song.
