I see some errors, you must've notticed them too, I guess?
(but I think you just couldn't fix them, because of the fact that it is handwritten... right?)

And I wonder, how come that the words for herbs and some others are loanwords?

You mean where I forgot the -don from London and where I wrote "hal" where I meant "for"? Then yeah, I kind of meant to rewrite it, but I'm lazy/busy. Did I mess up anything else? I get sloppy... ;;

I didn't think that all of those ingredients would be found or grown natively, and it made sense to me that some of the names would be adopted based on who introduced the Lana (guhan speaking) people to the plant and how easy the names are to pronounce.

For example, I didn't invent the name for nutmeg (jaipal); I took it from the Hindi name jaiphal because it was the plant's native name and it was easiest to import into Guhan.

Allspice is also called kurundu which is realized as kurudu in Guhan.

But onions and peppers grow in lots of places, so I invented Guhane words for those. I might still make up a different word for celery, since places that support onions and peppers can support celery.

Oh, I had this list, before I reminded myself that you probably also knew about them. (I think that -don isn't missing, actually)
well "Ekadas" seems to be missing, and in "debea for tugu hal" for and hal seems to be switched up, and I can't remember the others I had,

Oh, and celery could've been introduced to them by another folk, maybe they didn't eat them in there homeland, or maybe just because they can exist in a certain place, doesn't mean they do,

But where is this place you talk about?
Is it a real geographical location, or is it an added island, or something else?

Well, Ekadas just means Ingredients and I think I left that out in the hand written copy because it was self-explanatory/unnecessary but then I didn't edit the typed up version...that's embarrassing.

It's a fabricated geographical location, an alternative earth I pieced together based on the inversion of our oceans and continents. [link]

Oddly enough I've been eating dinner there for about a week now but I've actually lost weight. XD I walk around all day at my job and since I have such filling meals I don't snack throughout the day. So its not so bad.

Is it odd that I worry about my handwriting (aesthetics and legibility) in my conlang? How many people are gonna look and go, ew, the handwriting is awful. None.

I'll have to try the recipe again just to make sure the proportions are correct. (I just added spices and tasted as I went and guessed at the amounts used later.)

Making up things that could be real: awesome. and fun.

I have the same thoughts, so no worries there. I actually think your handwriting is very nice.

I always approximate and follow my nose, so I never really measure either. It's just easier to do it "organically", I guess.
