"F-fool of a hobbit," Thorin coughed through gritted teeth. "Why did you..."Bilbi shook while her hands fumbled to offer a comforting grip to Thorin's hand. "I had to. I couldn't just...Oh Thorin, I'm so sorry."
The dwarf breathed the best he could, each one he drew became much more ragged and hallow. Bilbi counted five bullet wounds in Thorin's torso alone, she did not have the focus to view the rest of his injuries. The hobbit sat helplessly at Thorin's side, offering what comfort she could think to give. To Bilbi's amazement, she saw the modern warrior grin weakly.
"Oddly...I'm glad," Thorin swallowed thickly. "At least...one friendly face before...b'fore..." his eyes flickered and slowly drew to a close. Suddenly Thorin lay limp.
"No," Bilbi gasped. "No, no, no. Stay with me, Thorin! Stay with me!"

please, I keep having dreams of how it will continue or end or how one of my characters would fit into it, and I just want to know how you will write it so my brain doesn't explode with crazy ideas XD.Β Consider it a great honer, I only think of ways a story could end or how one of my OC's would fit in if I REALLY like the story.Β Though now I am rambling.

well, my OC in your would would have been good friends with Bilbi growing up but her family moved away.Β They stayed in contact with each other animitly and while the group is driving to Erebor cor. they run into her at a small marketplace while getting food.Β Bilbo and her catch up and learn that she was working at Erebor cor. while under Smoug Drake but upon learning what happened with the original owner, the true story, she went to smoug and asked and was promptly fired. She was the new head of security with background in fighting, hacking, electronics, and bodyguard qualifications as well as a pastime as a mechanic.Β She also offers the group a nice safe place to rest indorse with warm food.Β When she learns of their plans from Bilbi she instantly wants to join and practically gives them so much information as to why they need her they have no choice but to have her in the group.Β There is much more but my fingers are about to fall off.Β Why do you ask?

No she is actually a dwarf that looks very feminine so people mistake her for a hobbit.Β Just sideburns and that's it for facial hair.Β Also she has curly red hair at about shoulder length so that could be another mistake.Β Oh and she also has her own driving range in the land behind her house for stunt cars.Β She built her own car that is like a Bond car with guns in it and little compartments to hit guns.Β I also imagined that she could whip her sleek black getaway car around at 60 miles an hour and drive it in revers at the same speed and shoot the cars following her.Β Also I think she hands Bilbi a bazooka gun so she can fire as well, just one.Β I have very crazy and OP thoughts XD

Well, if you're simply rewriting the book/movie version of The Hobbit in your AU tale then I wouldn't really call it a spoiler that Thorin is going to die. I did my crying already, so I can accept it. (maybe with bad grace, but I can accept it. Sorta)

I debated about putting Thorin in a coma? Since it's all modern medicine and all that, there could be a slim chance he'd survive. So says my fan-girl logic. But do you think it'd be more powerful if he did not survive?

I think I'd be happier if he survived. And yes, if you could get him to a hospital then there are a lot of possible ways that Thorin could be saved.
As for power... it all depends on how well you write the scene.
