do u have some kind of 3D program like Maya or 3dsmax, preferably 3dsmax?

Cool. Yeah i know your a 3d modeler... i just stated i dabbled in photoshop so you knew I had absolutely NO background in 3d modeling... Lol. You do great work.

Holy shit... the reflections are really freaking me out!! Great work! I only use this account to look at art, I've only dabbled in photoshop. So, I ask a question that might be retarded: did you really create the 'room' area in the reflection from scratch and let teh 3d modeler do the work with the modeling, or did you take a picture of the room and spherize it and 'graft' it on to make it look like its sitting in a room. does that question make sense in the least bit? lol

Fall0ut In reply to Yammie072 [2006-08-23 06:20:56 +0000 UTC]
This was quite simple
Btw, im the 3D modeler lol
but umm all u do with that is make some spheres, take a photo, set it as the reflection map to the material, add falloff to the material, etc...
Then u gotta add the HDR lighting and stuff
Well it sounds easy lol, but there is a whole process to doing this..

If I could suggest something it would be to make the shot bigger so we can discern the reflections in the balls (as much as possible).

Wow, this is so complex. I'd love to see how well you'd do something like a pocketwatch or a bottle of water, something complex yet reflective.

Nice pic, theres no more you can get out of there spheres and a box.
I know this HDRI, also used it. Have you seen the real-time-HDRI-demo on the page (devbec) this HDRI comes from. That one is really mindblowing

Reminds me of an Escher self portrait because you can see the scene only from the reflection. I love the detail of the room, how it's not just four walls.
