Thanks... I just hope all the critters don't hide once it gets here. Seems I've seen less of them this year than last?

Nice Macro shot, thing I get confronted with, with my Macro lens is that when you focus; you move an Inch and your focus point changes, getting the better of me sometimes.

It looks like that lil' fella just came fresh from the shower, look at his back, he even SHAVED.

True Romance

Get used to it.. my macro lense does that to 0.o mostly only 1 shot of a serie works out great , the rest is out of focus or just focussed wrong. I have that a lot when i am trying to shoot little animals. The smallest movement can ruin the picture.

Quinchy In reply to FairytaleOrDisaster [2007-06-07 22:34:40 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I think I should, a Macro lens, damn, it's almost as if I need to relearn the whole photography stuff again one small breeze, a small mistaken breath, a slight inbalance, it's the difference between "Ordinary" and "Perfect" shot.
With people (no disrespect -- I love you guys) that photograph Architecture have a much larger focus area, and can mask it a little, by not zooming, or by using a few well pointed PS CS3 tricks.

Albeit, with Macro, there's not much to hide and/or mask, the slightest mistake, could mean the end of your Macro shot, and usually, you don't get second chances, so Macro is certainly something for the endurable and patient people.

But hell, it's a cool lens, got some pics rounded up, now just need to find the lust to upload those to dA and I can make my limited watchers happy again.

But I have to agree with some people here, Macro with a Prof. Macro lens is extremely difficult, but even the more satisfying.

But the harder it is, the more satisfying.

FairytaleOrDisaster In reply to Quinchy [2007-06-08 15:45:05 +0000 UTC]

well this one is not a prof , just the 150mm sigma .. The Canon MP-E65 (?) is the better work! *needs to save up for it* and macro is more difficult then photographing buildings! haha.. they dont move , macro is more difficult then anything i have done yet (buildings , animals , portrets)

Quinchy In reply to FairytaleOrDisaster [2007-07-05 16:31:34 +0000 UTC]

Exactly, only the composition of building can be quite a bitch.
Since it'll grow very old, after awhile

The canon 100mm is more expensive?.. 0.o i thought that one was about 540 euro;s?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HS-Foto In reply to FairytaleOrDisaster [2007-05-25 18:48:59 +0000 UTC]

Don't remember exactly what I paid for it.
I thought it was close to € 600,- but can be wrong.
Prices have gone down a little I think and there is a
money back action now too

You have a 50mm lens didn't you?

FairytaleOrDisaster In reply to HS-Foto [2007-05-26 14:22:47 +0000 UTC]
