This is August P. Merryweather, Southern Gentleman, Pickle Rancher and half-brother of Jack Frost. He's the guy that makes it hot in summer. He can also light cigars with his fingertips. He's one of my favorite characters to play but I can never seem to draw him how I want him... maybe next time ^^Related content

Neat concept! The way you did the long curls of light is AMAZING, I can practically FEEL the energy! Plus they match the swirls on his coat, how cool is that. Your use of dark red and metallic gold makes it so he's not too flashy but still has the right amount of dazzle.
As far as him being a fave but hard to draw--in my experience, the more you know/play/like an OC, the more specific an image you have of them in your head, and thus the harder it is to get all the details right because you know what's right and wrong down to the last little thing.
