Description
Could things get worse? How could they get worse? Link couldn’t think of anything but he was positive it could be worse. He’s alone with most of his items INCLUDING the Master Sword gone, stuck in his Gerudo outfit in the middle of the Faron Jungle and just about half dead. What could have happened to cause all of this? Well, it started that morning when he was asked to make an excursion to the jungle to meet with someone, more specifically, a Gerudo merchant looking for Luminous rocks. It was going well until it turned out that the merchant was a rogue thief who knocked him out and stole his belongings, running off to who knows where. All he was left with was a Boko spear and the clothes on his back. After that then he had to fight through a horde of Moblins, some Lizalfos, and that Goddess Damned Lynel. How it was he made it out alive was a mystery to him.
He ran out of supplies about an hour ago, sadly, and it seemed the jungle was feeling larger than usual. Even the Sheikah slate he had didn’t help him find his way. How did he get so lost? He sighs as the hope of eventually finding his way out and to a stable to spend the night in was all that was keeping him going. Still, this wasn’t anything new to him; in fact, he had come to get used to it. He was just thankful there was no blood moon tonight. Then, he thought, he’d be completely screwed. He decides to stop under a tree and catch his breath. He sits down and just waits.
He had no idea what was waiting for him up above.
“What’s this?” a voice speaks softly as something looks down at the unaware hero, “I have a guest?... Oh my~” it lets out a chuckle, “Looks like this man has had quite the day… perhaps I could assissssssst him~”
As Link closes his eyes, he doesn’t notice the snake tail, adorned with brown spotted scales which turned to red as it reached the tip, wrap around his waist and gently hoist him up into the tree. He gasps as he looks down and sees the tail around him. By the time he stops, he finds himself face to face with an unusual sight.
“Hello!” a humanlike creature greets him in a charming voice. Link looks at the man from the head down. He had warm brown eyes, a stately nose, possibly the friendliest smile he had seen in a while, and long luxurious locks of brown hair that went past his shoulders. And what shoulders they were; broad, and brawny. In fact, it seemed the rest of his body was perfectly built with muscle. That didn’t seem to throw Link off much; what DID was what was below the belt. In place of a pair of legs, he sees that his body turns into a snake tail – the very SAME snake tail that brought him into the tree.
Was this… a naga?
A small memory flashes in his head from when he was still Zelda’s knight. He remembered the books Zelda would read in the royal library, one of them being a book on mythical creatures. He remembered Zelda reading one about Nagas; people who were half human and half snake. Supposedly they were said to possess magic of their own. He remembered the legend that there were one Nagas living in Hyrule at one point, though that was mostly just myth. He had no idea he would ever run into one!
“… Hello?” the naga says again, “I’m Kenny! Nice to meet you! What’s your name?”
Link introduces himself briefly, feeling rather put off on this creature’s apparent lack of the concept of personal space.
“Nice to meet ’cha!” Kenny says, “What brings you out into my neck of the woods?”
Link looks away, trying to find a way out of this man’s hold.
“… Not much of a talker, are you?” Kenny says, “That’s okay! I don’t usually get many visitors! Especially ones like you!”
Link raises an eyebrow questioningly.
“You look like you’ve been through quite a bit!” Kenny says as he studies Link’s tired form, “It’s pretty dangerous roaming this place when it’s getting dark! Plus, why are you wearing women’s clothes? Not that I mind of course; they suit you well!” He flashes Link a grin.
Link huffs in reply.
“Aw, don’t be such a grump!” Kenny says, “Perhaps I can help you? I know these parts quite well. Why don’t you tell me what you were doing out here?”
Link sighs. If it gets him out of his tail faster, he may as well say. He speaks to Kenny about his predicament.
“So, you got robbed, huh?” Kenny pouts, “That’s too bad. Sounds like something a friend of mine would do… may I ask what did this robber look like?”
Link explains further about the Gerudo theif.
“Oh my, a lady?” Kenny smiles, “Sounds like trouble. But I think I can help you…” He leans in closer to Link’s face, “But first… let me look at you~”
Link gasps as he notices Kenny’s eyes change. Suddenly, he saw patterns of rings of various colors flash in his vision. Immediately he’s on guard as he turns away and closes his eyes. Of course, nagas were said to have the ability to hypnotize anyone who looks into their eyes. What more they were said to swallow their prey whole. He fights his way out of Kenny’s coils, and arms himself with the Boko spear he had, smacking at Kenny.
“Ow!” Kenny says, “Woah! Woah! What’s wrong?” Link continues striking until Kenny’s tail catches the spear and pulls it away, “What did I do?” Kenny asks. Link doesn’t respond aside from a glare, “Now, now, let’s not get hasty with the weapons! Don’t you trust me?” Link shakes his head in response, “Aw,” Kenny pouts, “That’s a shame… I actually like you, Link.” Link looks in confusion at that inquiry. “You look surprised… I take it someone like you doesn’t have time to relax, do you? Always on the move, never really taking time for yourself…” Link raises an eyebrow again, “See, I like helping guys like you relax… that’s what these are for~” Kenny says as the rings flash in his eyes again for a second.
Link wasn’t ready to let his guard down. He tries pulling back the spear, but Kenny was much stronger than he anticipated; perhaps he could’ve given that Lynel from earlier a run for its money. For all Link knew Kenny was just going to eat him once he surrendered… still, Kenny didn’t seem like the kind of person to do that. He seemed shifty, yes, but it was more playfulness than actual malice. Link’s look softens a bit as he thinks on it.
“Now… you want to maybe trust me?” Kenny asks.
Link sighs and relaxes.
“Good… now just focus those eyes up here~” Kenny says as his eyes ripple again. This time, Link doesn’t fight it. He stares right into those rippling, shimmering… colorful… beautiful eyes of his. Link’s eyes widen as he continues staring. He finds himself getting sucked into those amazing pools of rainbow. It’s not long before his own eyes were reflecting that very same pattern. His shoulders slacken, his grip on the spear loosens, and his jaw hangs loose. “That’sssss it~” Kenny says with praise, his voice trying to be as silky and soothing as possible, “Just relaxssssss…” Kenny reaches a hand to him, his touch seeming to soothe him further. Link lets out a soft groan as he finally lets go, letting his arms dangle from his shoulders. Kenny smiles as he starts winding his tail around him, his thick coils wrapping around him like a soft, thick blanket. Link seems to relax more, as if he were being gently tucked into bed. His eyes droop as he lets out a yawn.
“Aww,” Kenny coos, “Sleepy, aren’t we?” he says. All Link can do is nod. The tiredness seemed to grow… only it felt rather nice. Pleasant in fact. He couldn’t remember the last time he felt this relaxed. Kenny responds by singing softly to him, “Hush-a-bye~ Baby, don't you cry~ Dry your tears and wave them goodbye~ Hush-a-bye~ Baby, don't you cry~ She will guide your way~” He hums softly further and cradles Link’s head in the tip of his tail, gently massaging him with his coils. Link sighs contently, smiling beneath the veil on his face. With Kenny’s voice, eyes, and touch to guide him, he soon slips into sweet, warm darkness.

Kenny lets out a whistle as he looks at the sword in his hands; it was brilliant looking with a blue hilt and a sharp blade. No doubt this were the items Link lost to the thief, “Well, I’ll just keep these here till morning,” he says. He looks back to the coiled hero, who was sound asleep and snoring softly, his head resting on the coil tucked under his chin. He couldn’t help but smile at how peaceful he looked. He gives the hero a kiss on the cheek, “Sweet dreams~” Link responds with a content sigh, smiling as he dreamed away in the moonlight shining through the canopy of trees above him.
