Description fleeing the Gulf oil spill. rather drab, and dour. hadn't intended it this way, but the muses really cried out on this...and they wanted their plight known. the patterns on her tail even started to resemble oil. very heartbreaking!

btw, those are cownose rays she's swimming with. you often see great flocks of them swimming in the shallows of the Gulf of Mexico.

One of my Patron Goddesses is Kali. I feel that having a relationship with her allows me to see the beauty even in the dark.

only in her cliche' "fearsome form". but i know there is so much more. i just think it's cool you have such intimate and confidential knowledge of her. i am into The Goddess too, as evidenced in my work, tho ... in other forms ^^

I recommend googling for some of the Kali-Ma poems or articles on Kali as mother. powerful! I could see that you were into Goddess in all its forms. Wasn't sure if it was conscious or not. I feel that is why I felt such a connection to your works!
