YES , for the first time in like what, more than 6 years for me i actually WATCHED a lunar eclipse!!And thanks to my family for getting me such a nice camera two Christmases ago i used a specific setting to get this and several other pics!
Unfortunately i couldn't capture the blood moon, but i have the wicked memory and it's a humbling mental image that will haunt me happily for some time to come~.
How spectacular, to sit and watch as the shadow of our world shrouds another orbital body in darkness.
It was so eerie and amazing all at once, i was captivated the whole time.
And then at the end, when our shadow moved off the moon and that white part at the left beamed out!
STUNNING!
I severely hope many of you got to see it, AH it was amazing!!
Not trying to brag here lol i just have to express my gratitude over seeing something so great
And God bless the skies being clear enough to see it!!

I MISSED IT! Its been raining here for days and usually when I sleep it always shines through my window (yeh I lov et), and though I love the rain, ironically it stopped me from seeing a- THEΒ lunar eclipse!Β Β Β This was supposed to beΒ a rare type of eclipse.Β There was a time in my life when I was obsessed with astronomy for three years. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 33 YEARS HURRAY. (Im soaked right now from walking into the library, its raining hard outside annnd now it just thundered, now I see this post... OHΒ THE IRONY)

It was decent, a little cloudy during the red part but there were clear moments and it was great

Blah stupid Canada decided to have clouds where I was. Couldn't see a thing. But it was still cool to have this event happen on the day of my two-year anniversary

I saw it, beginning to end. I stayed up as long as I could to watch it. The red was... AMAZING!Β

I got to see almost this exact moon! It was cloudy though, so I couldn't see it quite as well /u\ We ended up getting pictures with the red tint and I got to see a little bit of the orange-y tones~ Lovely!

But ahh it got cloudy during the blood moon for us too, but we could still sorta see it and it cleared up at times

lol I wish I had your enthusiasm. I was just sitting there like "isn't this just the full cycle of the moon happening over the course of an hour?" I was not particularly amused 
HOWEVER, at the same time it was really cool because we got our binoculars out

UH! I was in AWE of watching it in such a quick process!
But everyone's different i guess, watching our shadow swallow up the last of the moon made me feel so humbled and scared and happy all at once
Lol but AWW i didn't see it when it was completely finished and look at the brightness, but i did see that sliver when it started to come out of the other side of the shadow

My favorite part is when the moon was just barely moving from the shadow of the earth, and a tiny sliver of light was hitting the moon. Looked like the moon was catching fire!

If only you got a picture from when the light was gender around the earth making the moon red. That's the prettiest part! (And it's way more than 6 years, I think the last one was in the 80's... You must be mistaking for another type of eclipse)
