EDIT: Thanks a lot for your all comments and faves! And thank you for DD, it's very unexpectedly for me.The illustration of scene from one of my favourite books.
The little prince sat down on a stone, and raised his eyes toward the sky.
"I wonder," he said, "whether the stars are set alight in heaven so that one day each one of us may find his own again... Look at my planet. It is right there above us. But how far away it is!"

MY FAVE BOOK EVER!
I've been having a really crappy day (my cat died) and this picture really made me smile

for so many of us this was one of the original reasons we started drawing and we didn't even know why or if we were actually artists or not. it was my mother's book and she read it to me along with some others - we had the french version and i did not barely understand english yet- i think i might have been 2 or 3 years old. it still made such precious sense amidst an already chaotic world - was beautiful and resonated with the lonely things which helped me feel not so alone- or perhaps "this yearning for love" and yet still had a wild sprouting sense of hope and then the huge amazing wonder in it's simplicity. this is beautiful - your rendition. some things are timeless and these are the things which really do seem to help as time moves on.
