For example the weed I have here is called Super Cough. Some of my favorites are Violet Fem, Blue Cheese (yes that is the name of the strand), Buddah's Sister. Some of the more common strand names are Blueberry, AK47, Dutch Treat. Just as there are different types of roses, there are also different types of weed. So you can have red roses and yellow roses, and you can also have really great weed and crappy weed. The great weed will have different strands and every strand has a different name. Does that make more sense now?

You're probably a little kid who thinks that strain names really matter. The big boys who sell you weed are probably just making he names up. Strain names are not really important, unless you're buying medical marijuana.

I'm 27 and I have grown my own before (medical of course). My partner's and my dream is to create our own strain. I have probably smoked more than most. I dream of being a taster at one of the cannabis cups. I have done my research and I don't buy from just any one. I like to know how it was grown and I can tell you if it were properly cured or not. I only get medical grade and I don't settle for less. And any strain can become schwag if it is not properly grown or taken care of. If it has a name it has the ability to be of quality. It it's been pressed, bricked, or abused it becomes schwag.
I am not a professional smoker like Snoop (and trust me that man is a pro), but I can hold my own and rarely get high any more unless i detox for a few days. Even then it doesn't take long for me to not get high any more. Cannabis keeps my cancer from coming back, and it helps me not stab people when I'm out and about. It is a life saver for me (and probably for others too) I have made it my business to know as much as I can about cannabis.
In stead of assuming things about people maybe you should ask questions for clarity first.

I understand you. My point is that name of strain does not tell good weed apart from bad weed. You can have some really good weed which just has no name.
Just smoke the herb and dont get all snobby about names of cannabis.

why does this matter to you? do you have to have the last word? know i'm curious as to why you have a stoned pony as your icon. the way you type and have been responding you sound like a guy. So a guy who's very secure in his man hood, or gay six ways to Tuesday. When I first replied to this photo I was very new to the scene and was going off of what my husband was telling me. Now that I've been around the block and that laws have changed through out this country. Schwag is, in my area, nearly impossible to find. (although there is at least one dick who's selling schwag at the price of kind or med.) Now that I know more I can tell you that any kind of weed can be schwag depending on the quality that went in to growing it. I have had Shaman that sadly wasn't flushed at all, and was abused through those poor girls lives. They had been infested with spider mites. They were cold shocked as well. I'm surprise there was anything worth smoking after all that abuse. But I've also had Shaman that had been taken care of extremely well. I'm not sure why it bothers you as much as it does that I made that comment. If I am completely wrong about any of my observations, then I'm wrong. It wouldn't be the first time nor will it be the last. But it's so cute when you reply all butt hurt. At first I was getting annoyed with you, now I'm curious as to how far you're willing to take this. Something is bothering you, if it weren't you wouldn't have been replying on something so trivial. It's almost tempting to save this conversation and write a paper for the physiology class that I will someday have to take. I bet by then I will know so much more about you, simply from all the information that you've given me. Depending on how vehemently you deny this will only add more information for me.
