rodd929.deviantart.com/art/ROK… Reminds me of this ROKAF F-86F I saw last year, with flagship markings from the FW at Gwangju.

Indeed it is. Though sadly slightly neglected at the War Museum, Seoul.

I got to see the old museum that was near downtown Seoul back in the 1980's. All of my slides were damaged during processing by Kodak.  All of the slides looked as if a'rainbow' was spilled on them.

Were there any Soviet era equipment there? A friend of mine said back in the '80s the War Museum used to have a lot of Soviet equipment on display.

I will have to try to find my slides.  Since they are so crappy, I put them away, years ago!

It will take me a while to dig them out.  I never filed them as they were pretty crappy slides.

I think it came later. Only German jets saw any "real" combat. Gloster Meteor saw limited service.

It was heavily used in Korea, there are some amazing stories about Sabre vs. MiG fights.

No sir. The YP-80As were briefly in WWII, but the XP-86A first flew in 1947, after the war

Only by a few years.  Technology was rapidly advancing in those days.  If you ever want to see what the P-86 was originally envisioned as, a jet powered P-51, look at photos of the original FJ-1 Fury www.aviastar.org/air/usa/na_fj…
