I dislike some parts of the image (like the grey-ish tree root above the trunk the characters are walking on) but I really really like your colour choices, how you painted the wood in other areas (the green/brown contrast if great) and the grey parts were the characters are. But last but not least, the character itself. Their simple line art is a great contrast to the image's design and infuses it with more playfulness.
Great work, I hope to see more of it.
