Conceptual art from my comic, SFC. This is the massive floating island, Domina, hovering over a mountain valley. In the center is the king's palace, hovering in a shaft of light. Domina's role in ancient Earth's ecology was to transfer life force to the surface which allowed for life to flourish as a sort of Garden of Eden. Domina is suspended over the world by massive crsytals that act as anti-gravity generators. The Heaven's Tear is an infintitely-renewable energy source, cradeled in the heart of the island which supplys the "life energy" that falls from the underside to the world below.

Later in the story, this energy source is stolen and Domina is perverted into a writhing behemoth of destruction which ultimatly causes the extinction of dinosaur life and changes the face of the globe. Lets hope I manage to get that far into my comic!
