Description Colored pencil tests on the 4 brands that I own

I got two new sets of pencils this month, I got the Faber Castell special edition (I think that's what they're called) for my birthday and the Faber Castell Polychromos for Christmas
I got the Prismacolor Premier for christmas, last year, and those are the ones I've been using all year

I did the lineart digitally and I printed it out on my 98 lb sketchbook paper. I tried to match up the colors as best as I could

I haven't used Crayola (I think I have 2 packs of 24) in ages and I'm so surprised with how it holds up to the more expensive brands, I used to use regular printer paper and I never knew just how pigmented they were because of it, it's best to use them on paper with more texture.

The Faber Castell special edition (48 pack) feels like Crayola, but it has a really hard lead and it didn't break at all. It does have some trouble layering over itself because of that.

Prismacolor Premier (72 pack) is extremely pigmented and it has to be sharpened multiple times in order to get the sharp lines and get into the deeper bumps in the paper. Normally, I use 50 lb sketchbook paper with them, because I don't have to sharpen them as much.

The Faber Castell Polychromos (24 pack) work like Prismacolor but they don't need to be sharpened as much and I think they layer a little bit more that the Prismacolors because they get into the deeper bumps in the paper. I have a small pack of these, so I couldn't make the colors as bright.

My favorite is the Faber Castell special edition, because they get the sharpest lines and are the fastest to color with
