Description A depiction of the Celtic Goddess Badb, one of the tripartite aspects of the Morrigan, Celtic Goddess of death, battle and fate. Badb is named after, and said to sometimes take the form of a Crow. She was said to influence and sometimes participate in battle, and her making an appearance was often considered an ill omen or a portent of impending disaster.

My idea was to take the three aspects of the Morrigan and have them represent the major Celtic cultures of Pagan Europe. In this instance, I had Britain and Eire in mind, hence the copper pigment tattoos, hair colour, skin and eye colour and so on. I absolutely plan on drawing the sister aspects, Macha and Nemain. My current plan is to base them around Gaul (very roughly speaking, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Northern Italy, Switzerland) and Iberia (Portugal, Spain and Andorra), and as such, I will try and depict them as evocative of women from those regions.

TL; DR: I plan to present Macha ane Nemain as Gallic and Iberian, respectively.

After that, I'll draw the Morrigan herself, as a general representation of Pagan Central/Western Europe, likely with key aspects of each of the three I've already drawn.

After that, somewhere down the line, I'll ptobably move onto Germania and Scandinavian culture, perhaps Freya, Frigg, the Valkyries and so on. Then probably Slavic Europe, then the Mediterranian and the Levant....and so on. I doubt I'll run out of Pagan goddesses anytime soon.
