Description
Krellens are a tree-dwelling alien species from the planet Sharza, a watery and verdant planet a little warmer and more temperate than earth. An average krellen stands between 3'5" and 4'1", with males averaging a little taller than females. Their "hair" strands are much larger than humans', and act as a rudimentary sensory organ, reacting to their environment. Due to their rainforest-like climate and aquatic origins, krellens require a high level of humidity to keep their bodies moist, and don't do well in arid or cold environments.
Krellen culture is generally open and friendly, emphasizing bonds between community members, as many activities are done in groups. Because of this, krellens are sometimes regarded as thieves and troublemakers, as they are used to many tools and items being community property that anyone can use. Despite this reputation, krellens have a strong spiritual tradition, which involves respect for nature, worship of the Sleeping Trees (the largest and oldest), and dream interpretation and fortune reading.
