is hosting creature creation trades and I was lucky enough to get a slot! I chose to do another very detailed watercolor painting, and as she is someone I have done numerous trades with I really wanted to go above and beyond with this one! I call it the "Vulpede" roughly translating to Fox foot, I consider this a kitsune with extra legs instead of tails. Of course having double legs also shows a great influence of Seipnir, Odin's eight legged horse from Norse mythology.Related content

Beautiful! I love the leg idea and the blue-orange contrast is so nice. The toes are so interesting and I love the shape of the face - it's almost like a living statue, stylized. The yellow highlights are great and I love all the fur detail you managed with watercolours <3

Thank you so much, this was definately a challenge for me, both because i haven't put in that much fur detail with paint before and I hate yellow

Thanks Dan! I really love how the upper right corner turned out, salt will do what salt will do but this time I felt like it bloomed into a geode! Such a nice effect ^_^

Never seen a vulpede before. Very cool, I like the mix of concepts between Japanese and Norse mythology. :}

While I knew I wanted to do a fox I also knew i wanted something unique! I've been sketching Sepnir a lot lately so i had a pretty good feel for the legs and gave it a try (the front ones are horrible but there is enough other stuff going on I hope no one notices!
