Top o' New England to ya, mate! New Hampshire mountains are far more beautiful, rugged than Vermont's bumps. If you have to choose between the two states to visit, New Hampshire wins hands down (plus it has a seacoast)! Vermont is a big disappointment; overinflated by tourist hype and a quaint past. No diversity. The state and local taxes are sky high, and one-party political system in Montpelier (and most places) is simply dreadful. Vermont is a group think place. I plan on exiting as soon as possible.
