but yeah I've never drawn them properly and they're super cute together in my opinion (i know all the Chrom fangirls out there think otherwise but I'm allowed to have my own opinions right?), so i decided to fix my lack of art of them being cute together.
So, i kinda had this idea that Chrom carries Sumia on long marches and stuff because she trips a lot, but then it occurred to me that she has a pegasus that she can ride but maybe the pegasus is too tired from battles to carry her? but then Chrom would be tired too i guess… my idea has holes in it DEAL WITH IT XD

I myself never got the dislike for ChromXSumia. Their support from start to finish is as sweet and endearing as they come: two battle-weary fighters taking the time to lay down their burdens, confide in one another, and enjoy some creature comforts. Combined with what we see of their relationship outside of the support, it's an excellent springboard for a romance, and FAR more substantial than just them seeing each other naked.

Ever since Sumia (accidentally) punched Chrom in the face, I paired these two forever. with Olivia as a close second.
I also like Chrom and Olivia, because love on a battlefield is extremely rare and touching for me

I had so many playthroughs, and I had Chrom marry each and every one of his possible wifes at least once(Well, except for Sully, I don't think they'd fit as a couple. I prefer to think of them as bros for life. 
And I have to say that despite the fact that I loved having Lucina as my daughter, despite the fact that I loved the little changes that marrying Chrom caused in the story, despite the fact that I think Prince!Inigo is amazing - Sumia will always be my favorite wife of Chrom.
Cynthia being the little sister of Lucy is just too darn adorable, ahh... :'D

PS: It's ironic that Sumia ended up being my favorite queen of Ylisse. Because to my shame I have to admit that I was one of those idiotic Sumia haters once, too. I'm so glad I'm past this stage. :'D

In my playthroughs I've only done Chrom/Sumia and Chrom/Olivia so far, and I'm planning on eventually doing Chrom/Maribelle... I prefer Chrom and Sully as friends too... she doesn't really seem like queen material XD
Chrom/Sumia was my first and favorite pairing for Chrom though... And Sumia too, for that matter.

Yeah, the thing is when I first got the game, I actually married Gaius on a whim, without really thinking. Then I realized I missed out on recruiting Kellam - derp - so I restarted since I wasn't THAT far into the game. No harm done. And since I wanted to try out something different, I married Chrom this time around. I mean, like I said, having Lucina as a daughter is really cool and all that, but... Blaargh, Chrom as husband is just.... nah. Just nah. Never again. So then, I tried out all of his other potential wives.
Maribelle - I ADORE Chrom and her together. Plus I think she'd make a good queen. But I hate Chrom being Brady's father and I don't like Brady and Lucina being siblings.
Olivia - I love the royal 'love at first sight' marriage and Inigo as Lucina's brother is decent enough, but Olivia/Gaius is one of my OTPs, so... yeah. :'D
Sully - Didn't try it out, the only thing I would probably like about THIS pairing is Princess!Kjelle. So no.
fe!MU - I prefer to think of Chrom as kind of a big brother to the Avatar now, you know? In all honesty, I can't even actually play the file where Chrom is my husband anymore, because being married to him in that file feels just so... weird... x'D AND Chrom's hair on Morgan looks just so ugly.
And THEN I tried out Chrom/Sumia...
... and I was mesmerized. Princess!Cynthia is just the cutest little sister for Lucina, the blue hair looks SO good on her, Sumia finally gets her longtime crush (Sorry Cordelia... :'D), the ship made me love Sumia, AND I now have two couples that ended up marrying each other because of PIE. x'D (Chrom/Sumia and Gaius/Olivia)
So really, Chrom/Sumia is just the sweetest royal family I can personally imagine in this game. :3
I know right? I wish more people would realize that every single character in this game is special and lovable in their own way. In my first playthrough, I'd never have guessed that I'd end up marrying Inigo for example, hehe. x'D

When I started playing I wasn't really planning on marrying anyone, and then later I though I might marry Lon'qu, but then Gaius happened and I was legitimately in love with him, but THEN Chrom automarried me after chapter 11 and I accidentally saved so I just restarted my entire game which ended up working out because I failed in recruiting Donnel the first time around.
Maribelle would probably make the best queen out of all Chrom's potential wives, but there are a select few kids who can pull off Chrom's painfully bright blue hair and Brady is not one of them. Neither is Morgan... That blue with that purple is just no. Kjelle is a bit better but she's not exactly stunning with it... Virion's hair color is a better shade of blue to match the purple in her armor. Cynthia pulls it off the best in my opinion, and Inigo looks pretty good with it as well (although I much prefer Inigo with Libra's blond hair)
I prefer Chrom as a big brother figure to the avatar as well, or a really close best friend. And I never understood how the FeMU/Chrom supports led to marriage...
Chrom/Sumia is by far the best pairing for either of them, although Sumia's other supports are great too, but Chrom is a great father for Cynthia and a great husband for Sumia, and Sumia is a good mother for Lucina, both storywise and statwise, (although her strength stat takes a hit in the process, she makes up for it in speed, skill, and res) The pie supports are great too

I see Libra!Inigo pretty often. And while I agree that the blonde hair suits him, I don't like Libra/Olivia as a pairing at all. Well, that's just me because all of my pairings in this game have just grown on me so much, I have a hard time imagining them with other people. :'D

Yeah, Inigo and Owain. I split my file into two at some point because I couldn't decide between those two dorks. And don't ask me how that worked out. I have really no idea. Maybe it's the fact that he's actually a depressive crybaby inside and I felt like I had to make him happy by marrying him? :') I don't know, really.

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinions. And I've grown pretty attached to my pairings as well, so much so that in my second playthrough I tried to do different pairings and it was actually painful to break up my OTPs...
Yeah, their S-support wasn't that great, but there were a few funny lines that I liked.
Oh, you married Owain too? Cool, my friend married him in her second playthrough. He's awesome XD

Breaking up OTPs is always hard. I want to marry Lissa and Donny in my next playthrough for an unbreakable Missiletainn for Owain(Because of SWORD HAND TWITCHES x'D), but Lissa x Lon'qu is my OTP... Sigh... :/

In my second playthrough I wanted to marry Ricken, but that meant not pairing him with Lissa (Ricken x Lissa is my OTP... hehe...) and god that was painful. Especially because I had to have her heal him this one time and then when she healed him he said "We've got this!" and I was like "nO STOP. STOP IT. DAMMIT RICKEN WHY" yeah I was a mess

I just don't really like any of his supports, somehow. His support with Nowi was somehow cute, but I love Nowi with Donny.
But more often than not, I just find him acting like a little child. Which is sad. I think despite his height he could have been an awesome character. (I wonder if he's the same in the Japanese original version of the game... Or if the translators just messed him up. :/ )
But that's just my opinion. Still gonna make him my powerhorse, though. Maybe I'll end up liking him, then.
But yeah, I totally know what you mean! Gawwwds, if I imagine Lon'qu saying his reluctant "...Thanks" to Lissa after healing him.... Gods, how can I ever NOT make them marry each other? :'D

Surprisingly, Ricken acts mature in some of his supports and completely childish in others... Like in his supports with Lissa, he tells her he's uncomfortable taking lives, and then later in their B-support he catches her doing combat training and asks her why she's doing it and she says it's so she doesn't have to be protected all the time, and then he's like "but Lissa, that's my job! Protecting you, I mean" and then she says he doesn't have to deal with that alone and gODS it's just such a cute and supportive relationship... whoops sorry I just spewed all my feels all over you didn't I, sorry

Haha yeah... For some reason, Lon'qu x Lissa never worked for me, and I don't think it's just because I ship both of them really hard with other people. Maybe it's because he just seems to old for her, or too serious for her... I know saying this stuff to a shipper is basically a death sentence in this fandom because the Lon'qu x Lissa fandom is just so big, but I'd really like someone to explain to me why they like it so much and why they think it's so popular, and maybe then I can be more understanding and get a better handle on why I don't like it...

It's not a death sentence in my eyes, don't worry. I may be a Lon'qu/Lissa shipper, but I respect every other ship for those two. Heck, I like Lon'qu/Cherche, I like Lissa/Vaike, and I don't know what kinda problems some people have. And if you really want to know why I personally like them, I can tell you, though it's going to be a lot to read. If you're willing to put up with that, go on ahead.

Now then, the first (little) thing is when they first meet each other in that arena in Regna Ferox. She's a woman, so he's naturally repulsed by her. I don't blame him for this, after all he doesn't know her at all at this point. I just kinda like how she calls him "big and strong", hehe.. :3
First off, their C- and B-support is about average, I'd say. What made me love this ship was their A-support, and it continued with their S-support.
There IS something that I'd like to point out in their B-support. This part of the conversation here:
"Lon'qu
...Do you truly not see how your presence energizes the others? How your smile and demeanor put everyone at ease?
Lissa
R-really? Hee... Sooo, what about you, Lon'qu? ...Does my smile put you at ease?
Lon'qu
Perhaps. ...From a certain distance."
Now, I could be thinking too much into this of course, but I think it's really adorable how Lon'qu comforts her after she says that nobody would care if she died. He seems to instinctively know what she needs to hear - OK, safe for that last part, of course. That's just him being him and ruining the moment, but it's still Lon'qu after all. :'D - and he even admits that she has a positive effect on him.
Now, moving on to their A-support. Lon'qu was hit by an arrow and Lissa says this: "N-no, Lon'qu! You're hurt! Please, you can't... Don't die!"
She knows that these assassins want to kill HER for being of royal blood. And yet, her first reaction is to worry about HIM, despite being surrounded, despite her life being threatened at this very moment.
Lon'qu tells her to stay close a few sentences later. We know by know that during combat, he is able to overcome his gynophobia. I still think I should point that out because it's one of those sentences where I can't help but smile a little bit despite the situation those two are in right now.
After Lon'qu kills the last of the assassins, this is their following conversation:
"Lon'qu
...That's the last of them.
Lissa
Here, hold still. Let me tend to your wounds.
Lon'qu
I'm fine. Are you hurt? [He doesn't tell her to get away. He just says he's fine and then asks for HER wellbeing.]
Lissa
No. Thanks to you.
Lon'qu
Good. That's... good."
The way Lon'qu says that last sentence makes me believe that he's thinking about Ke'ri's death. How Ke'ri died and how he managed to protect Lissa on the other hand. I think that this is a moment where he's truly surprised at himself for being so glad about Lissa being fine. I personally think that this is also the moment that he first notices that he has more than professional feelings for her. (That's just me being a shipper, don't worry. c
Owain later explains that his father - Lon'qu in this specific case - died shielding him from an arrow. I like to imagine that the Lon'qu in Owain's future can rest in piece because he knows he protected the two most important persons in his life and that it somehow "makes up" for Ke'ri's death. (It doesn't make up for it of course. That's just me being a foreign person struggling with the English language at 3am, sorry. >_<) I think it somehow lessens the load that he carried on his shoulders ever since Ke'ri died, knowing that both of them SURVIVED because of him. While he always thought that Ke'ri DIED because of him.
Now then, next we have him agreeing to occassional chats, which is already pretty cute in my opinion, considering this is LON'QU we are talking about, hehe. :3
Something I also really like is how he smiles while grumbling at the end of their A-support.
Their A-support has a few great lines in my opinion. I'm going to pick a few and leave a comment for each of them.
Let's start with this one: "I...like when you come to see me."
Lon'qu says this after Lissa has a childish moment and asks him to tell her if he doesn't want her to come visit him anymore. I might add that he smiles again while saying that. ;>
Next line: "... you are no bother. I...also miss the time we spent together."
Now, Lissa is a really carefree, colorful girl. She likes to do whatever is on her mind. Combine that with Lon'qu not seing her as a bother and even missing their time spent together while being a grumpy gynophobe, and you have one of the main reasons why I ship them together. I think Lon'qu welcomes Lissa's happy attitude, her cheerful manner. Maybe it's even exactly what grumpy Lon'qu needs?
Anyway, next line: "...as far as my issue with women, you...are the exception. I find myself thinking of nothing but you. My every moment is consumed with you. If you will allow it, I swear to be with you and protect you for the rest of your days."
I'm not lying if I am saying that I have seen all of his S-supports and never has he so openly declared his feelings for any of his possible wifes(Except for f!Avatar's S-support with him, but I'm not personally interested in him, so I'll not going to compare THOSE two S-supports right now. c
And then this happens next:
"Lissa
Oh, Lon'qu... Of COURSE I'll allow it! And I'll watch your back, too! But you have to be beside me always. No more distance!
Lon'qu
...No more distance."
He again says that last bit with a smile on his face(Maybe Lissa's attitude is already rubbing off on him, hehe... c

I know what you mean. I read this "confession" on Tumblr where a random idiot said that any Inigo who isn't the son of Chrom can "die alone and burn in hell" or something like that. I just sat there and said out loud "Seriously?". Stupid people. :/

Wow.... I mean, Prince Inigo is great and all, but SERIOUSLY? Does that person even know how HARD it is to get Chrom to marry Olivia?! I had to play Chapter 11 THREE TIMES! And then there's all the Sumia haters, and I've seen people who think that the only good pairing for Male MU is Lucina, and don't even get me started on the huge chunk of people who marry Chrom every single playthrough and hate all of his other pairings. The entire reason this game has the pairing system is so people can have opinions, right?! So for God's sake, let people have their own opinions... (wow sorry that turned into an epic rant XD)

Marrying Olivia and Chrom isn't THAT hard. Just keep Chrom away from fe!MU, Sumia, Maribelle and Sully, pair him with Lissa or Freddy or someone whom he can't marry at least, and when you get to chapter 11, let him kill a few enemies with Olivia. I get confused when people say that they spent 200 turns letting Olivia dance for Chrom while it takes me at most 10 turns to defeat Gangrel AND get Chrom to marry Olivia. Not that I do it any longer. Chrom x Sumia has become my royal OTP, after all. :3
I've read about someone complaining about the same problem on Tumblr. As far as I know, it's probably because your account has been falsely flagged as a bot - For whatever reason, don't ask me how they decide that. o_O
Anyway, I suppose the only thing you can do about it is to contact Tumblr. Maybe it can be corrected that way. Then they would know that you're an actual person, and no bot.
According to what I've heard, there're many other people who have the same problem. So you're not alone. If that's in any way reassuring... :'D

Anna it is! I still don't understand all the tension between FeMUxChrom shippers and SumiaxChrom shippers. Just accept that someone likes something other then your preferred shipping, or just ignore them. Don't need a whole flame war to try and prove which is Canon. NOTHING IS.
...I'll have to see the Say'ri and Male Avatar supports. (starts laughing at the image of the female avatar walking in on Chrom bathing, Gaius about to, then Say'ri) If it begins like the FeMU's, I might like it a bit, but I'll have to see it more...

Well... TECHNICALLY it is Sumia holding Lucina in the opening sequence of the game, and there's the whole Chapter 3 cutscene thing, so the Chrom/FeMU shippers are pretty mad about those... So TECHNICALLY you could prove Chrom/Sumia canon, but then there's the whole "wind at my back and the sword at my side" thing, which I think happens in Chapter 23 anyways even if you're not married to him, so you could TECHNICALLY prove Chrom/FeMU canon as well... But then again we are dealing with a game where the "canon" pairings are decided by the player... You could prove any pairing canon if you tried, really.
Truthfully, I haven't seen the Say'ri/MaMU supports either... I just really like that girl, hehe
